Back when I was a little girl, and started learning how to pray at school, my father gifted me and all my girlfriends mini prayer dresses. They were all identical, adorned with little sunflowers, in different shades of pastel. We would wear them everyday during school prayer time, and pray together.
When I got into high school, I got one of my first ‘adult’ Prayer Dresses as a gift from my grandmother. It was an exotic piece to say the least; so much was going on. Starting from the fabric feel, to the bright red patterned, to the sparkly sequins scattered all over it. I would always get shy whenever I put it on infronf of anyone, or it anyone asked me to lend them my prayer dress. It was simply not my style or taste what so ever. And everyone around me owned something not far off from it. So I just thought to myself, maybe thats how all prayer dresses look like.

I thought to myself, how come we put in so much effort everyday to get dressed to go out and face the world, yet no one cares how they look while facing god during daily prayers.
As I grew up, I was frustrated by the lack of pretty prayer dress options in the market, so I decided to create one myself. I wanted to create something simple, yet beautiful. I wanted to feel confident & beautiful when I wear this piece, whether at home or wearing it off outside.
